SHOTS!

OPENING WEEKEND WAS STUPENDOUS!!!

Despite nerves being on edge, the cast of SHOTS! delivered performances that had the audiences riveted in their seats. Never have I heard the theater so quiet... no one shuffled or shifted in their seats... there was no coughing or clearing of throats... no whispers... no breathing!!! Every person was caught up in the story. As one audience member commented at the end, "I saw myself in each of the characters. How could anyone not see themselves. My wife and I come here because you (PBIEA) never present the same old/same old. You are always different and this was exceptional."

I am beaming with pride for the excellent job done by our director C. Todd Vittum and our cast: Pamella Forrest, Hailey Dye, Marcia Foster, Bryan Medina, Rhonda Stearns, Harry Miller, Marta Perez, Steve Murley and C. Todd Vittum. A special "Thank you" to my husband, Mike, who created and built the set and helped me with the lights and sound effects.

Team work... when everyone cares and gives their all, the outcome is always a success!

Fear Sells is a commentary on the use of fear as a marketing tool. Told by two down-on-their luck actors through a series of auditions for increasingly violent roles and subsequent conversations with their agents, the play asks the audience to consider whether society’s actions influence the movies being made or whether the prevalence of fear based films and Madison Avenue marketing campaigns have led to a society afraid to live life to the fullest.
